"Financial bulletin" reported on May 28th, Bangladesh garment manufacturing and Exporters Association (BGMEA) called on the government to cancel the import and export of garment export declaration tax in the new fiscal year 2017-2018, and give the garment industry an additional 5% in the next two years, the import and export declarations cash rewards, and corporate income tax from 20% to 10%, in order to cope with the garment industry facing the industry regulation, power shortage, the decline in demand, prices and other challenges, maintain competitiveness, attract new investment. BGMEA chairman Rachman said that maintaining import and export declarations, tax and trade policy stability is crucial to attracting investment.
